Default Newbie question

I'm trying to install a new CD player in my Nissan Almera but I've gotten so used to the control on the steering wheel which allows you to select the radio station etc without actually having to move much. If I get a new CD player, can I actually retain that steering wheel/radio control? Thanks in advance.

If its an aftermarket CD no it will not work using the factory harness.

Yeah generally these can't communicate. Even more common things such as discs changers can't communicate between stock and aftermarket applications.
