Nissan Frontier This mid sized truck offers the advantages of the full sized Titan with its large bed and great off roading ability, but with a smaller, more efficient engine.

Default newbie with a question

Hi I just bought a 2001 frontier and after 72,000 mi, the service engine light came on. I do most of the maintenance myself and changed all the oil and filters, plugs cap rotor. I heard it could be a loose gas cap , but no. How do I turn the service engine light off? Thanks in advance Rod

I it's not your GAS CAP, try taking it to your local AUTO ZONE they will check your onboard computer for free. If you are a costumer of PROGRESSIVE they will provide you with a CHIP for free (of course with some restrictions). Last thing, my light has come on twice and both it has been the Oxygen sensor. I will suggest to remove this part when the truck is warm. Otherwise it may barke inside the socket.
My truck has 123K and am driving the truck 50 miles a day
Good luck

Good luck with your truck and the repairs. I just finish taking down the headliner on my truck. If everthing goes ok. I will post the pictures of it when I finish.

What part of Hawaii are you in??
We went to Honolulu last year and we we loved it. We are going to finish paying both houses here in Dallas, TX. Sell both and fly back, this time to stay. It will take about 4 or 5 years for us to do this.

See ya later
