I just got a 2000 Maxima, the sunroof do not open in one move, I need to push the button 5 or 6 times to open it all the way, the same to close it, is this normal ??, if not can someone tell me how to fix it.

it sounds like the sunroof switch is defective cause if you have to hit that button multiple time to make it move to the fully open position it sound to that the switch is broken internally, if you have a volt meter the switch should pop right out but be carelful not to damage anything and check to see if you have 11-12 Volts on the power wire if you do then the switch is probably bad.

 

I will check the voltage at the switch, will keep you posted.
