2000 Quest brakes
I have a 2000 Nissan quest with 50K miles on it. In this milage, I have replaced the front brake pads six (6) times[:@], and the back have only just begun to wear
. Does anyone know how to properly proportion the brakes on this vehicle, or is it some other mechanical issue. Thank you for any input.

Have you replaced the calipers? Also, I would replace the rotors, as a warped one could cause extra pad wear, but not that much. My dad has a 2000 Quest with 90k miles on it and I've only replaced the pads twice, 40k and 85k miles, so I don't think that it is a manufacturer defect. Good luck.
well the reson why your rear brakes are wearing slower then the front is because most of your braking force goes to the front. most cars get there rear brakes done on there second or third front brake job. i have a question does your steering wheel shake/vibrate when you apply the brakes from highway speeds and road speeds. cause if your rotors are warped it will accelerate your brake pad wear, and also is your calipers pistons seized on one side or what i need more information in order to really give you my opinion.
