2000 Xterra - tranny capacity

RE: 2000 Xterra - tranny capacity
is it a manual or automatic?
if its manual you just fill it up to the fill hole and let it spill out a little it should only take approx. 5qts butthis is just a guess. ifits an auto then you have to replace the pan gasket and filter and fill up until you see it on low part of the dipstick then you start it up and fill it up to the cold line and then drive for about 5-10 miles and check and it should raise cause auto tranny fluid expands when its hot.
