87 d21 won't start

Getting fuel to throttle body. starts and runs when gas issupplied manually. could a bad fuel pressure regulator cause this or do any of you have any more ideas what could be the problem

is the fuel pump original? it may be close to failure and not feeding it enough to keep it running?
