97 Maxima
Help I have a 97 Maxima I bought it used a few years ago when i bought it the speedomotor was disconnected so I re connected it . Since then I have had no problem getting it inspected but now they have new equiptment to get the car inspected and codes are coming up I checked the manual and it seems none of these codes have anything in common The bulb for check engine light was missing (from the former owner) so after replacing it the check engine light came on and codes (600) (720) and (443) also a few months after reconnecting the speedomotor it stopped working. I truely would appricate any help anyone could give me on this subject Thank you William

RE: 97 Maxima
did you buy the car frmo a dealership, because if so, it is AGAINST FEDERAL LAW to disconnect a speedometer.
the reasons people disconnect the speedo is to keep the mileage down and in some states, to avoid emission testing.
