I have an automatic terrano which has travelled 45,000kms. When I stop for a red light and leave the trans in drive with my foot on the brake an unpleasant knock and vibration often starts which feels like its rocking the engine/trans on its mounts. Have been to see an auto specialist who doubts its a tramsmission fault as if the hand break is applied the knock stops. Obviously the park break is preventing the vibration. The auto works fine otherwise. I have had an engine anayliser plugged in and no fault codes come up. The engine and transmission mounts look and feel alright and everthing underneath seems tight with nothing missing. However the truck does idle a little low at about 600 on the tacho but the engine anayliser shows 700rpm at what it should be.
I am taking it to the local Nissan dealer in a couple of days but thought someone might have had a similar problem with a possible solution. thanks Paul[IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG]
