Car not starting
Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum.
I have a 1998 Nissan Micra 1.0L 16v. Its been running lovely with no problems but today when I went to start it it just wouldn't fire up. It sounds like its trying but it wont. The starter is spinning fast enough, it seems almost like fuel starvation or a bad spark maybe. My experience is a little limited as I'm used to working with VW's.
The only thing I could think of was an immobiliser problem.
Any suggestions would be most appreciated or any simple tests because I'm beginning to clutch at straws.
Many Thanks

RE: Car not starting
Have you tested the ignition system? Your plugs will tell you wether or not you have ignition. Should be the same as your VW basically. Just touch the plug to the head while it is connected to the wire and have someone crank it and watch for the spark.

Sorted it, it was fuel in the catalytic converter I recon, the engine was behaving like it was flooded. I disconnected the lambda probe and it started, ran rough for a bit, revved it up and it was ok.
Cheers anyway.
