Diesel Fuel system
Hi there,
I own a 1989 nissan Laurel rd28 diesel. The other day I stupidly ran it dry of fuel and was just wondering if anyone newhow to get it going again? I have already tried putting disel in it but that doesnt work. Will i need to disconnect my injectors and have fuel pumped up? Any help would be much apericiated !
Thanks

RE: Diesel Fuel system
I dont know anything about your specific car but i do own a diesel truck. Does it have a lift/supply pump?
If so, you can disconnect the fuel line after the pump and turn the key on to run the pump until fuel runs out clear with no bubbles, then reconnect the line and crank the engine and it should start. Will probably run rough for a few seconds untill all the air is purged but will smooth out quickly. This is how it works with my truck anyway...
