Hi there.
I think my new micra is wonderful. It knocks spots off the 206 I had loads of problems with. Problem is the ignition has started playing up. It takes a good three tries to start the car up from cold, although it runs well from then on, and is ok if started when warm.
any ideas? Car is intellikey 2004 1.2SE

 

Don't know off hand. Guess I'll throw all the usual things at you first. Has it been tuned up recently? Bad air cleaner? (which fouls the plugs)? Ummm, you know. All that stuff. But, if all that's OK I suggest you have it checked for codes. Maybe it's got a bad thermal sensor or something. You know, kinda like the old time choke not working. ie: it (the computer) doesn't know the engine's cold and needs more gas to start.
