Default Help!!!

My 1995 Pathfinder recently started having white smoke coming out of the tailpipe and emitting a strong gas smell when taking off. We thought it might be the fuel sensor but replaced it and did not help. Any suggestions?

are you sure its white? that sounds strange because if its fuel, its usually blackish. white smoke usually signifies an antifreeze leak into the cylinders. get a leakdown and a compression test done to see if maybe your headgasket is blown.

you can also have someone look to see if there is water in your oil/ oil in your coolant...

when my head gasket in my civic was going, i never got the oil/water mix. it just used a little water, and i had to top it off every couple of days. but if the oil is milky white, you have your answer.
