Default nissan qx

hello. I have a nissan qx auto 96.It wont start. The ignition is ok but wont turn over.Please help. All and any hints and tips would be appreciated

either way first thing to check would be batt voltage. if you have a dead batt well things dont work on dead batts. then check fuses. if that is good check voltage at the starter when attempting to start car. other than that i think it could be a neutral safty switch. hope that helps

and how do you know that the ignition is ok? do you have power in the car?

a neutral safty switch is there to prevent you from starting the car in gear. the car will only turn over and start in neutral or park. i'll look into some more and get back to you on it's location

hello mate, the ignition lights on the dashboard light up e.g h/b light, battery light etc.but it wont turn over.also i was wondering if these cars are prone to engine seizure.Thanx
