Hey guys, I have a 1997 Nissan Pathfinder and the dealer says that I need to replace the SRS airbag control module. They're asking $940 (500 for parts, 440 for labor). To me that's pretty expensive so I was wondering...is this something that I can just do by myself, provided I can get the part?

 

I had the 1997 Pathfinder sitting for a month without starting it up every so often. It failed to start last night, so my son-in-law said it appeared to be the battery. After reconnecting a new battery on, it would not start. I was told that some vehicles must have computer reset by doing a code like locking all doors and opening passenger side door and turning ignition to start it. Is there such a thing? And what do I do?
