I just bought a Nissa Sentra SE-R. The inner-door tag was painted over so I don't know the year exactly. I haven't gotten the title yet. I know for sure it's a 3rd gen from lookin at pics on the net. Under the hood is completely stripped. No motor, no axles, no transmission, but from what I can tell it's front-wheel drive.

My question is, what motor can I get for this? Everything I've found on the net has been turbo (and not included the turbocharger), too much money, or is for rear-wheel drive. I just want the stock,normally-aspirated 2.0L motor that cameoriginalin the car, including the FWD -transaxle-. A JDM motor would be sweet. Does anyone know any JDM motor sites that sell a motor like this?

Yessir i do, www.jspecautosport.com. also, if youre looking for the VE variant, www.eastnissantuning.com just opened up a shop and has that motor for sale. only problem is i believe youre gonna have to find an SR20 FWD trans from either on old SE-R, 200SX or SE. good luck mate and welcome to the forum

Do you know if an RB25 DET motor will fit in my Sentra? I found a complete swap, but this is listed as a 91-95 Skyline motor. If it will fit, will it bolt right up with the mounts, shift linkages, etc.. ?

 

No not at all. the RB25 is a RWD motor/trans setup. on top of that, the block is too long for the Sentra bay so it really won't work, sorry man

 

So I'm basically lookin at SR20 only? Just want to get the most bang for my buck, plug and play direct fit, no hassles. All these swaps seem to be priced the same... Thanks for the help
