I recently acquired a 1992 Maxima with 224,000 miles. The car runs smooth as a sewing machine but at 55mph, it runs about 2700 rpms. Watching the tach, I can't really see where it shifts to O/D. It's a four speed auto by the way. My question is, is this the normal rpm for that speed? It just seems a little high to me. I appreciate any help as it's the first Nissan I've in a long time.
