Nissan 350Z / Fairlady The Z stood for the top line and Japanese performance in the 70s and 80s, and it has been nicely rekindled with this newest entry into the Z family.

Default Looking for a 350Z

Howzit guys

New to the forum. I currently drive a 2004 Audi A4 2L and seriously am looking for a 350Zsince I noticed that the price has dropped a lot on 2nd hand ones with low milage.

Can the 350Z drives please post your opinions on the car here. I noticed that some can still be picked up with under 50K/kms on the clock. I prefere this option since if there is a problem I can get it sorted under the Freeway Plan.

I'm looking for the following.

1. Maintenance on the car if its out of free way plan.
2. Common Problems with the car.
3. Petrol Consumption
4. What modifications can one do that keeps the car NA and is still reliable.

Guys please I'm bagging you to give some info on this since I am really sick of asking people anywhere else and all I'm getting is shyte answers.

Really appriciate it.

Cheers for now
Luke

1. Nothing special
2. Once the recalls are done.... some problems have been burning oil and brake rotor problems.
3. Gas Mileage is dependant on how you drive... if you drive it like a Z it's gonna be pretty bad... if you drive it like a Sentra you will get pretty good mileage.
4. Most people go with Headers, Cold Air Intake, and Cat-Back Exhuast if they are just looking to do basic things and keep the car N/A.

I own a 2005 350z i have no problems what so ever. I just up graded the exhuast to the nismo exhaust system. i change the oil every 5k with Mobil 1 full syntec 5w30. I bought the car with 7miles on it, they just finished the PDI on it when i found her,I dont recommend the cold air intake on any 350z since water can enter the air system and damage the mass air flow sensor, and that is a nine hundred dollar repair that is not covered by factory or extened warranty ( i love when those customer get towed in)the brakes do squeak when backing up. but the friction materal is still over 50% remaining i talk to a senior tech in my company he said they all do that due to the formula that nissan uses from the factory, first heavy dusting then squeaking, and that rotors must be replaced when the friction is replaced.

You dont need to replace the rotors if you change your breaks before the pad is worn out. If you are going to change your break pads go to ceramic pads you dont get the black dust on your wheels and you will not have any squeeking.
