IDK if anyone ever had this problem, I will try to expalin it the best I can.... I have a 2000 Nissan Altima SE with 90K miles on it. When I do a cold start (start the engine while its cold) it idles perfectly fine, it i rev the engine i can dam near redline it but once the engine is fully warmed up it continues to idle fine but i can't rev the engine above 3k RMP, once i get up to 3k rmp the engine trips out like it does when you redline the car. I was told by the mechanic that the engine is doing this because my distubutor was bad.... does that make any sense to anyone? Has anyone else had this problem? I did a tune up on it meaning the sparkplugs, SP cables, rotor cap and brush, I also had some engine work done on it cause the engine was loosing presure.
