I just bought a nissan altima and the passenger side door is seized and or just wont open. Electric door locks seem to work, key turns after I had straightened one of the mechanisms inside, everything was in tact, rods for handles are attached. Just seems like door is stuck on locked I cut a hole on the door panel and want to get my bucket back on the road..HELP ME

same thing happened to my 94, I was able to get to it by forcing (prying) the top of the doorpanel back and down.
It's very weird the way the thing is engineered (because the key and the inside lock button will not unlock it even though the rods inside move) but the problem is the lock motor located at the bottom right, straight line down from the keyhole is ^#@$ up (underpowered) on mine it would move the mechanism about 80% of what was needed to trip the unlock switch. You need a new power lock motor. On mine I just unplugged the power to the motor, obviously now I cannot lock that door, even manually.
