Default '93 alty throttle stuck

ok im new here dont know if posting in right spot or not..

but i have a question/problem.. i have a '93 altima se.. and i just had gotten in back on the road b/c i had to get my axles fixed. well after they were fixed it ran fine, one night after work i went to back in to my parking space here at my house. well i put it in reverse and barely tapped the gas to get it rolling back well when i did so, the throttle went WIDE open like i just slammed it to race someone.. i hit it into neutral thinkin it might stop by knocking it out of gear, i was wrong.. so i cut it off in neutral and put it in park and started it up again.. still reving high at like 4-5 grand...

any ideas what to do to fix it? and suggestions welcome i just wanna get car back on road..

thanks!

I actually had that same problem on my 93' altima GXE. Check the spring on the throttle body where the throttle cable connects. There lies your problem. I That spring is sticking making the throttle plate stay wide open causing the high revs. Real simple fix. Replace it or try some wd-40. Hope that can help you.

Follow the accelerator cable into the firewall - there is an issue with it coming out of the boot and causing the engine to rev high - I had the same issue with my 93, and once I found it I glued it in place.
