98 Altima stalling at high altitudes
Move my son and his 98 Altima to Colorado Springs, CO. Since moving there, 6000+ft above sea level, car is dying and not running properly. Is there something that needs adjusted due to altitude? Car ran fine in Indiana. Thanks for any help you can give.

well he told me that the motor takes in so much air and up there the air is thinner so the best way to help is that an aftermarket air intake and possibly a intake manifold because the factory air box is very restrictive

It could be a timing issue, sounds like the car is getting to much fuel so its running rich with a lean air mix which could be problematic in the long run. you could have the timing adjusted or the ecu remapped to even out the mixture ratios. Like SPECV said, an air intake would help very much so since the stock box is very restrictive.
hope this helps out any.
