Hi, first post.

I have a 98 ALtima GLE, 80,000 miles. Runs well however upon starting the engine has recently begun to click for up to 10 seconds. I assume that is called a dry start. Then it quietens right down. Should I be having service of some kind done or ???

make sure its not low on oil.

 

Thanks Ad, oil level is fine, it uses next to no oil between changes, every 3,000 miles.

I wonder if I should add a Top Oil.

Bardahl 1 claims to quieten engine noise, but I am hesitant to add any additives without advice.
