HI I have a 2000 Altima GLE. Since when I bought it it smelled like gasoline, especially when I opened the windows. I filled it one day realy full on gasoline and it started to leak on the side of the tank alot. I checket the pipe that fills the gas tank but I didn' t find anythind. One mechanic told me that it it the separator valve. What is that and Where is located. Does anyone know??

 

There is a hose that comes off of the top of the tank that has a valve on it that connects to another hose... maybe that's what he is talking about.
