Default front end sloppy

Hello, just bought a really nice Altima SE V6 loaded up well. The 3.5 seems to be a real powerhouse compared to what I was expecting. This is our first (foreign) car, built in TN though, isn't it? right up the road from here. MY concern, the steering seems sloppy, loose, steering wheel seems to react to the road too much, just feels unlike other cars I have had (over 125) or so, all Pontiac, Chevy, GMC etc. I noticed each side has a vertical rod looks like it does what an idler arm normally does. Any advice is greatly appreciated and considered. Thanks

I had an '04 Altima SE that I just traded in on an '06 SE-R, and I have noticed that the front end does seem to wander a bit. I think it is due to the wider tires. You don't say if you have an SE-R, but if you do, I think that is the cause.
