Default Head gasket problem

My 2000 altimahad an intake manifold gasket leak. To get at it I had to take off the head.
After all was reassembled I got water leakage in the cylinders. So I tore it down again and noticed several coolant passeges were being blocked by the head gasket. I looked at the oem gasket and it was the same way. Is this normal? And what else other than a warped head could be causing this?

sounds funny. pictures would help. make sure you have the head gasket on the right way or you can also buy an upgraded headgasket pretty cheap. only thing id consider is have someone who knows nissan well to look at it. what kinda motor is it an where your getting your headwork done?

if its on the correct way then no its not normal. u probably got a defective gasket....maybe. who makes the gasket? i only buy fel pro or mr gasket when available. having too much pressure in your top rad hose can cause the issue as well.
