Default Thinking of looking/bying Altima.

I have to replace my daily driver. I don't want to spend too much $. Years ago I had 2 different Maxima's and they were GREAT cars. I've always liked the Altima too but no experience with them.

Going back the past 10-15 years.......any years to avoid? what are the better years? certain problem areas to look for? Will I get 30+ mpg with the 2.5 cyl?

Any input/opions are welcome. Thanks again.
