Default 2005 Frontier 5 speed

Hi,
Is the 2005 Frontier 5 speed the same as the 2002 or is it a new transmisson? If they are the same transmission, that will give me a
larger history base to figure how these transmission are affected by various conditions.

I have some questions pertaining to cold transmission shifting problems that I have had since last summer, when a local mechanic introduced
my transmission to the Nissan 85/90 weight lube on the 60k service.
(I understand that there was an advisory from Nissan in 2007 that told people to only use the 75/85 w.) I was told by the mechanic shop who use the 85/90w, that it wouldn't hurt the transmission. But when I insisted that they change the gear lube back to the 75/85 last winter,
I have had continued cold transmission shifting issues that concern me greatly.

I would like to understand what 85/90 w gear lube was it doing to the 5 speed transmissions that made it necessary for Nissan to put out the advisory to stop using the 85/90 weight gear lube.
Thanks mp53
