Nissan Frontier This mid sized truck offers the advantages of the full sized Titan with its large bed and great off roading ability, but with a smaller, more efficient engine.

Default question Re:Tire Pressure Monitor

I have a 2005 frontier. My tire pressure sensor light and Warning Chimes went off. I had a nail in the front tire. had it fixed, drove off sensor light turned off.

Thought everything was great, next day sensor light & chimes. Checked ALL tires. O.k

Do you have to reset something? Do you think I have a fuse out? Anybody have this problem?

Thank you,
Mick

yea i actually have the same problem in my '06 frontier...but i never had a nail just my back tire was really low and i never noticed. But, like you i fixed it and the light went off until the next day, there was something in the manual about it but it was too confusing for me to figure out ... that said any help would be great.

Well after you repair the tire you are supposed to fill your tire to 35psi and after a few minutes of driving the light should go off... now you may have broke the sensor with driving around on a low tire..... it is not uncommon for this to happen... and it's not uncommon for the sensors to go bad either. I would just take a trip to the dealership if your truck is still under warranty.

If it comes down to it... I sell the sensors for $70-90 depending on what model you have.

Default RE: question Re:Tire Pressure Monitor

My '06 Frontier is displaying the Tire Monitoring alert continually. It started a few days ago when the weather got cold. Moving the truck into a heated garage did not solve the display problem. I checked the tires, all were OK. I even ran the pressure up to around 38, but it still displayed. Now the weather is near 50 degrees, but it is still on.

I am due in for a recall and repair in a few days so I will have it checked. I wish stuff like this weren't on the truck. I am capable of monitoring my own tires.
