Default transmission problem

I just got back from the dealership after bringing in my 06 SE Crew Cab with 27,000 miles. I began having problems the other day when I attempted to start the truck. Turned the key, it began to turn over, but abruptly stopped. Tried again, it did start, but the check engine light and4x4warning lightwere on and the display showing the 4 wheels (trans) was blank. Put it into gear and it was crawling to get going. Turned it off, started it again and all was better except the Check Engine light was still on. Same thing happened again the next day. The dealership is telling me that there is a sensor in the transmission that needs to be replaced or, Nissan may want to replce the entire transmission. Has anyone else experienced this problem? I loved this truck, bought it new, but I am now worried about it's reliability. Doesn't sound like Nissan really stands behind itsvehicles. Anhy info for me??

Default RE: transmission problem

So you're saying Nissan doesnt stand behind it's vehicles because your's has a problem ? That makes little sense. It is a 2006 that is covered under warranty....let them take care of it. The 4.0 and 2.4 motors have very little problems. One problem with your truck isn't a just cause for worry.
