hi, new member to this forum ....i bought a micra n reg 1ltre 16 valvle .the prblem is there is a orange light on the instrument panel which says CHECK ..the car will start and run for only a few seconds then cut out ..ihave put new plugs in and when the ignition is on the fuel pump is running ,as i have had the pipe off the fuel filter and all the plugs are sparking ..but it just will not keep running ..the car only came with one key,which turns the ignition and works the door locks ...my question is ,has the car got a imobiser and do i need a coded key..if so how do i purchase one ....thankyou in advance...danny

 

if you check with the dealership, they will know for sure if it takes a coded key
