03 GLE Suspension/STRUTS
I have just boughts a used 03 GLE Maxima, there is a clicking sound whenever I go over a speed bump and even the smallest pot holes seem to hit very hard.
Can anyone advise me on how to go about diagnosing this and the best way to fix this.
Thanks

Sound direction?
Mileage? 60kmiles -and- struts are semi-dead = stop sailin and replace.
Open hood, feel srut end/nut with finger while slightly pushin chassis up/down. Repeat on other side... Compare, no 'free play' allowed (sometines nut is loose). Healthy strut gives no sound.
Raise wheels, jack tire up down with crowbar and watch/feel for any free play as linkages move; compare to other side.
'Attack' axles: no free play in 'any' direction is allowed, check also boots for any cracks. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/748507/25
Check torsion bar bushings (steel rod attached on both wheel linkages), prying with crowbar.
