92 Maxima Bose issues
My 92 Maxima with only 115k miles has a Bose problem. Just this past week what appears to be the rear speakers seem to have gone south. When I turn it on, it sounds like someone is too close to a speaker with a mic.
Are the speakers bad, amp or the entire unit needs to be replaced?
It is a great system, but I've read that when they go, everything has to be replaced.

RE: 92 Maxima Bose issues
Ok, so last night I fiddled around with the speaker that was out. It was the right rear speaker. So I pulled the speaker and tested it with the left rear speaker. The speaker works fine.
Next, I pulled the Amp that is connected to the right rear speaker and plugged it into the left rear. Sure enough, the amp is gone.
I saw the stock number on the Amp and did a search on the net. Found http://www.corvetteradios.com and they replaced the amp for $90 with a core charge. Placed my order and it should be here in a day or two.
Gotta love the net.
