Default 96 maxima exhaust

My dad has a 1996 nissan maxima. I was wondering what a good exhaust would be for better performance/sound. Somewhere in the 500 to 600 dollar range

What have you done to your car so far? IMHO, it would be better to enhance your intake first before focusing on the exhaust. If you already have racing filters then good, I would suggest that you get aftermarket exhaust systems.

Its a bit off the topic but I think it would be supplemental on your plans for your Maxima. If you still have an stock intake system, then i would suggest that you focus on it first because this upgrade would give your car a better sounding rev and will give more horses to your engine. then after doing so you can now upgrade your exhaust. More intake means more exhaust. check this out, to give you an idea on the effects of better intake. http://www.shopnisparts.com/nissan-cold-air-intake/.

just my two cents. Good luck on your hunt.
