Question Brakes pedal seizing

We have a 2004 Maxima, and twice now in the cold weather the brake pedal has seized. It will not depress, but is stuck in the raised position. You have to press down as hard as you can for a few minutes while the car is running to kick start the brake pedal to work again. What could the problem be?

Did you ever find the problem and a solution? Our 2004 Maxima is doing the same thing.

Thanks
