Hi all and thanks for any feedback you may give. I just got a '91 Max and let's just say it's got some problems. For the most part that car seems in good condition for a 91 and runs just fine. So let's just get to it, I put it up on jacks a took at the underside. It was my sisters old car and she told me that she needs to put a thing of lube one a week into the power steering res. Ok, so would I be wrong to think the pump is the issue right? And well if it is how the hell do I get it out and replace it with a new one. There's no room in there! Anyway help would be great.

the boots on the rack and pinion are both torn all away around, is this a easy fix?

 

All depends on mileage, where/how use, how long youre goin to keep it.
- hi miles, no service =pump
- lo miles; hoses can be brittled

For short period (2yrs?), I'd wrap plastics around boots. Otherwise replace...
