Default NIssan 1999 Maxima A/C Problem

My air works sometimes then stops. When it starts working, it will work for 20 minutes then get hot. Think it is switch or compressor?


Please help,Imin Texas it is hot

PM Preventive Maintenance on all connector pins (also relays) when all seems to work: clic read also p.14.

When compressor isnt working, direct +12V bypass to compressor will get it runnin (or not). If it starts, then problem exists in relays, temp sensor, low liquid level and/or ctrl logic or its buttons. Read mentioned page & links; system basics are very similar up to 2k2 model (except automated climate ctrl)

I have a 1997 Maxima I was wanting to know when you try to turn on the air do you put it on Auto or Econo? I'm not sure which one it is.

I guess its the compressor, it takes much of the pressure.
