Have an '02 PF w/ 78K miles on it. O2 sensor & catalytic converter were replaced and thought my Service Engine Soon light would stay off. It popped up after 272 miles again. This time, the code is reading P1130-Swirl Control Valve Control Solenoid Valve-my mechanic says that the valves must be full of carbon and that he'd have to take the engine apart completely to fix. He reset the computer and after only 22 miles, it came on again. Grr! My question is, would it do any good whatsoever to run a couple of bottles of cleaner thru? I've got till the end of May to get it inspected and I'm not so sure that it won't fail even if the light is reset. Someone told me about "C-foam" <sp?> Anyone know anything about that? I've got to get this temporarily resolved (& cheaply) at least to get the inspection sticker pretty quickly-I'll do the more intensive and costly repair later.

Anyone know anything I can do either temporarily or permanently?

thier is this injector and plenum cleaner that all you have to do is take a main vacume hose of the plenum and let it suck the cleaner out of the bottleand its supposed clean all carbon deposits, i heard of this today, and i will let you know the name of it tomorow, when i make the call to see who has it.
