I need to replace the tires on my 99' pathfinder. Does anyone recomend tires that will give me a smooth ride, but won't burn a hole in my wallet? I believe I have "Kelly" tires on right now, and I didn't have significant problems with them.

I've been buying all my car/truck tires from the Tire Rack (.com) for about 10years. check the site its awesome. they ups them to you, much cheaper than a tire store, you just take them somehwere and pay mounting & balancing. The tires I've received from them always are still slippery and shiny, fresh from the factory, not old and dry rotting like some tire stores. Great customer service too. I've got an 05 Pathfinder XE 4wd. When my stock General tires wear out, I'm going to order a set of Yokohama HT/-S G051's, they are a good price, look like a very good SUV tire, and Ive been completely happy with every set of Yokohama tires Ive owned, very high quality. The Tire Rack site will list all their tires they carry that fits your vehicle. And they don't carry any crap....

 

we purchased a 2001 pathfinder new, and it had bridgestone duelers from the factory. We replaced them with Michelin LTX M/S, and there was a big difference in every aspect. They are great in the snow and very good on the highway as far as comfort and handling is concerned (for an SUV). You should consider them as one of your choices.
