Hi all. I think I know the answer to this question, but wanted to check in with others

The fuel gauge on my 2004 Quest SE only reads 1/2 a tank when full. This is a recent development. Two years ago I replaced the LED display due to bad pixels, so I suspect it's the fuel level sending unit (155k miles on original fuel pump). Does this sound right, or might there be something else to check? Also, it appears that the fuel level sending unit is part of the fuel pump and not available separately. I guess since I'm getting under the carpet it would make sense to replace the fuel pump too, but wondering.
