We have a new 2016 Rogue and have driven it almost 20,000 miles. When we are on the highway going 75 mph and in strong wind the hood shakes. We can clearly see the hood lifting up and down close to where it meets the windshield and fender (on the corners). This also happens sometimes when large trucks pass us in windy conditions. Has anyone else experienced this?

We brought the hood flutter issue to the attention of our dealer twice now. The second visit, they did adjust. The rubber bumpers. This made an improvement for the better, somewhat. That was several months back, now onarecent trip to Orlanda, the hood fluttered, buffeted wildly as we were coming back from Orando. I felt the hood was going to blow off so I decreased speed dramatically. Once home I again checked for looseness on the hood. The rogue hood has and continues to show just to much give when lifting up on the hood. My Toyota Camry and Lexus have rock solid hoods. No play what so ever. This not normal friends. I will continue to bring this to the dealers attention each in for service, in the event one day the worst should happen. My hood flying off. I love my rogue as well, but as mentioned in one post, this hood does not seem to the structural integrity, rigidity you would expect.

I have the exact same problem dealer was wanting to charge me $120 to adjust it I thought that was crazy my rogue is still relatively new and has warranty still, I’ll wait for a recall or sue them if it flies off

 

My is flapping when I get on the freeway and it scares me its like my hood is going to fly up.
