Default 1993 Sentra SE-R. To buy or not to buy?

Im not really a nissan guy, not yet anyways. Traditionally an RX7 guy, but Im out of rotarys at the moment. I have an oppurtunity to pick up a black 93 SE-R with I think about 200K on it for 700 bucks. Its in pretty good condition, all stock, with a slightly banged up FL fender. I know these cars are relativly rare, so I think its a damn good deal. Im just a little worried about the mileage. How long do those older SR20s last? Also, any info on the car and cheap/easy ways to make more power or handle would ne appreciated. Im into autoX, and have heard that these things are a lot of fun on the track. Thanks.

the nice thing about the SR20 is that you can find performance parts, if that is the route that youre looking to go

I'd pick up the car. I've had 5 Nissans now and I have NEVER had one make me walk. I just bought my second sentra today and they're very solid, reliable cars. If you want real performance for cheap pick up an early "90s Maxima with the DHOC engine. They're a lot of fun and I really miss mine.
