Default 2000 sentra Po171 code

Hi, I'm trying to help out a friend that has a 2000 nissan sentra with I believe it is a 18 motor( i didn't write down the engine size but I do remember it has 16 valves) with 81,000 miles. It has only the p0171 code. Is there anything specfiic to these types of cars that cause this code. I have a scan tool but was unable to get a good connection, so until I can get a extension cable to plug in to it I can't get any MAF or O2 sensor data.

Is there a fitting on the fuel rail tocheck the fuel pressure. If so what is the pressure range suppose to be?

My friend also said it is hard to fill the tank up with gas and I found a TSB (NTB00038) about this but it didn't give and specifics. Is there a way to fix this or is this not a big deal (only makes it slower to fill tank and doesn't effect anything else).

Well I found out about the fuel pressure and how to test it. Need a tee fitting to attach the fuel pressure tester.
