Hi. Yesterday I noticed that the emergency (hand) brake light stays on when the brake is off. The car doesn't act like the brake is on at all. No noticable braking action at all when letting up on the gas or putting on the clutch.

could be slack in the line (i know that happened in mine) or just a problem with the sensor

 

I wondered about slack. But how do I check the sensor?

 

check your master cylinder and make sure the brake fluid isnt low cause that can also cause the brakelight to come on.
