Have a 1994 Nissan Sentra with manual transmission. Motor is all original to the best of my knowledge. Approx 160,000 mi and has thrown a rod. Want to just put a rebuilt motor in it. Thinking that is the simplest thing to do. Live in Lawrenceville GA (NE).

Any recommendations for shops or salvage yards that offer rebuilt motors and installation at a REALLY good price? Or any input on this situation is welcomed.

Nissan doesn't offer a rebuilt, so unfortunatley the only motor I have available is going to be around $3500.

 

Not exactly worth it when the car isn't even worth that... LOL

Surely there are some shops that do this kind of work at a good price.

 

u could always try gettin an engine used from jspec autosports or osaka, idk what u have in it now but theyd probably have what ur lookin for


just checked jspec, they have a GA16DE for $599 and the SR20DE for $699, both plus shipping and handling and stuff.

go you a junkyard and look for a low milage motor for 200$
