O2 Sensor

O2 Sensor
I took my Sentra in for emissions and it didn't pass because of a failed O2 sensor. I took it to a mechanic who tested the sensors and said they were OK and cleared the code for me, but told me to keep my eye on it. Sure enough the sevice engine light came back on and it looks like I'm going to have to replace it. He is going to charge me $135 for the sensor and $35 for labor. Is that a good price? The failed sensor is bank two sensor two. Which sensor is that? Is it before or after the catalytic converter and on what side? Several people have told my it's a pretty straightforward job, so if I can do it on my own and save a significant amount of money I'd like to go that way. Any help would be appreciated.

RE: O2 Sensor
In my opinion, that's expensive. I dunno how much of a diffference it will be between the GA16 and the QG18 motor but my bank 2 o2 costs like $110.00. Mine is no longer working properly because I had it relocated. So, my check engine light is on. No emissions in Michigan so no worries.

RE: O2 Sensor
where did you place your o2 that it wont read right, im kinda going through the same thing.
ordered parts and no bung in the aftermarket cat, so i was thinking about having it put in right after the cat.
as for the original question, get one from autozone, napa, carquest. the dealer wanted $155 for the post cat o2 that i need and autozone only wants $80, and if you can turn a wrench you can change a o2 sensor
