Just starting this project and wondering what kind of extra parts Im gonna need for the N/A to the DET. I figure since its just the same motor it shouldn't need much. already know I need a FWD transmission which I found. Thanks for the help guys

 

First off, you CANNOT use a RWD SR20DE-T in a FWD car it wont work, everything is set up completely different, and i think what you plan on doing is using a RWD motor and make it FWD by useing a FWD transaxle on a RWD motor. It wont work.

 

No, Im getting a Bluebird GTIR SR20DET which is NOT a RWD

 

Okay, you never made it very clear as to what motor you were exactly getting, and Yes a FWD tranny will bolt up to it.

 

Now other than those two items, are there any other parts that would be needed going into it? Im getting the motor from Osaka so its coming with the wiring harness and most everything but i dont know if there are any little extra parts i might need to get on the side

One of the techs here got the same motor for his G20 and it came with everything he needed.

~He got it from the same place.

 

The swap should be straight forward.
