I have a 97 sentra gxe and im currently living in missouri but i want to move to california and i was wondering if i could still pass smog if i put a oem cat converter and then put my test pipe in when i dont smog but i was thinkking i should just leave my car registered in missouri cause all you need to pass inspection is one cat conv. all lights work , horn, seat belts, no cracks in windshield, ball joints in good cond., no oil leaks that drips, and no steel bead or bald spots on the tires and min. of 1/32 on brake pads. and no exhaust leaks. and im afraid that california wont pass me if i have a sr20det with only the secondary cat conv. on. does anyone know if i can still pass smog in california with a sr20det in my sentra that came stock with the 1.6L let me know.
