WATER LEAK ON NEW 05 SENTRA
Just purchased an 05 Sentra Special Edition 20 days ago and I got in it this morning to find the passenger side floor SOAKED with water. Going to bring it to a dealer but has anyone else had this problem the damn car only has 1000 miles on it and already the problems start.

Well, whatever the problem your dealer should take care of it. Things to think about. Did it rain the night before? In which case your windshield (possible the vents) might be leaking. Was it water and not antifreeze? Antifreeze would mean trouble with the heating system. Could something left under the seat have leaked onto the floor overnight? A bottle of water; pop cup with ice from a drive in; etc. Hey, it happens. Hope all goes well.

I just spoke with the dealer and they cannot find any leaks ........ [:@] well the puddle came from somewhere. It did rain the night before I noticed it but the first thing I did was check to make sure the window was completely up. I am pretty sure it is water, I would be able to smell antifreeze?? right??
Nothing under the seat still new and clean LOL not like the one I traded in which I was pulling stuff out from under the seat I didnt even remember LOL

nope no sunroof and it is not antifreeze either.......they are saying it might just be because it rained so much and so hard that it was overflow from the runoff under the windshield/????? are they just trying to get rid of me?

If the water got in there when the car was just sitting it should be obvious to any tech that either the door gasket(s) or windshield seal is leaking. If the car was running and you used the A/C, maybe the condensate drainage is obstructed.

RE: WATER LEAK ON NEW 05 SENTRA
Hey I don't know if I am too late to throw in my two cents on this conversation, I just joined this site today. But anyway, I have an 05 special edition and I found a nice puddle behind the drivers seat right after we got all that rain here in NY. At first I thought it was the sunroof, then I thought maybe when I washed my car I left the door cracked, al kinds of practical assumptions. But the mechanic called me and asked me if anyone disliked me, and where else was I getting my car sereviced. He informed me that my car had holes under that area in the back seat, and water prolly got in when I drove through a puddle. And that the car had to be on a lift because there was no way that anyone could have just layed up under my car and make punctures like the ones he found. When I informed him that so far the only place I have taken my car for anything was to them for oil changes and when they had the recall about the vapor hose connecting to the gas tank. Well they patched it up with some sheet metal and silicone or something and covered everything under my warranty, including the rental I had for two days.
