I have a 2003 Xterra. It came with two keys at purchase but when I moved a few years back, I somehow lost the spare. Now the one key I do have cannot be kept on a key ring because a piece of the loop enclosure on the key broke off. I fear losing the key and being left with none.

Is there a way to get another key or two from Nissan? Is that necessary, or is there another option for me?
