I have a 2002 Nissan Sentra GXE and I was cleaning out my trunk and noticed everything was wet. I pulled up the carpet and also the (cardboard)? that goes on top of the spare donut, Everything was moldy. I removed the spare and there was standing water in the trunk. My questions are 1. What can I use to seal the trunk and 2. Is there anywhere that I can purchase another cardboard piece? Thank you

Hope someone can answer this question same happened to mine.

I have a 92 Sentra and the water was flowing down the trin rain rails and entering the trunk through the tail lights

What I did is pulled the tail lights out and put a 1/4" bead of clear silicone solved that problem.

As for the replacement cardboard. I have my own out of 1/2" ply wood and covered it with speaker carpet.

Worked like a charm
